Support Programs

University Music Major Scholarships:

Annual scholarships are awarded to select music majors attending a Virginia university. This year, three scholarships were awarded to students the University of Virginia, James Madison University, and Shenandoah University/Conservatory.

Student Symphony Player Music Lesson Scholarships: 

Annual scholarships are awarded for private music lessons for to (up to) four student players in the Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia.

Educational Outreach Funds: 

Funds are annually given to area public school music programs for the purchase of music teaching resources.  In 2022-23, WMC awarded the following:
